lush vocabulary, mot. I actually put 12s with the wound G on most of my shortscales. But the pack that came with jazzy actually had "Jaguar/Jazzmaster strings" printed on the set, which is rather odd with the difference in scale 'n shiet.

wow you use fancy jazz strings. I went through a phase where I tried to do that, but I just cant hack it. I do way too much bending to be able to rock the heavy strings. now I just put 10's on everything, even acoustic 10's on any acoustic I play

There is a video on Youtube of Kahler vs Floyd Rose. The most diverse of trem systems ever. Its very educational.
The Kahlers downfall is the fact that it is strung up traditionally using the 'ball ends' of the strings like all Fender trem systems. The windings on the ball end is a weak spot. Old school Kahler users used to solder this area of the string to prevent movement/loss of tension!

I just watched all twenty five minutes of that video. It's pretty good, but the music on it is fucking awful.

You don't need to try to notice the stench of bronze. It bugs me too. Smells like old coins in sweaty hand or something.

I think most trem systems if you set them up correctly can perform very well if you have the string gauge correct for the tension needed to float the tremelo (if it's a floating tremelo system that is).

The amount of trem movement lend themselfs to certian playing style. Obviously, a bigsby it for a different playing style then a Floyd Rose.

Are you even a trem user?

I used to own a Jag-Stang. They have Mustang Tremelos.

I didn't find it offensive.

I was talking to Hurb and Nick about this not 10 minutes ago; the trem on my Jag-Stang is amazing, but on my Mustang it's bloody awful, and I can't set it up right :E

Both my CIJ and mi MIA 'stangs have good trems... but the bars keep falling out of the tail piece! Yes, I do tighten the set screw. Anybody else have this problem? Maybe my trem bars are the wrong guage?

I found this video of a mustang that proves that with trem abuse the guitar will stay in tune if it's not a fuckin noob that set it up.

Dear Hurb,

Thank you for posting an entirely on topic video instead crusading on about string gauges. I now feel that the Mustang tremolo arm indeed can be used flamboyantly yet still maintain proper tuning. I must now save some money!
