I don't know the rules, but several builds I've done use linear pots and don't have bad tapers.

Volume pot on a Jazzmaster. That's what is stock, at least. Don't know if it's more appropriate. I have 2 audio pots in my project, and I prefer it.

Nothing's wrong with it, it's a lovely cab, but I could have gotten alot more for my money. But still, a TT on top of a PPC112 is a lovely sight even if I do say so myself.

Yeah, they are pretty as fuck. They look balls out when people stack two 1x12"s with a TT.

They are expensive though, you could have got a 2x12" it's true for that much. Don't worry though, just enjoy it!

Yeah when I bought the TT it was stacked on top of two PPC112s I got to play a Baja tele though the setup, I fell in love with both, still not got that tele though.

And all this talk makes me feel like some midday RAWK. *Powers on TT*.

I'm assuming this is just for electric guitar rigs....?

Guitars -
1967 Hagstrom Viking - $200
1968 Ovation Tornado - $350
2007 Gibson Les Paul Studio - $750
1982 Ibanez Blazer - $250

Pedals -
Nobels Overdrive - $20
Boss PS-3 Pitch Shifter - $65
EHX Nano Stone - $45
MXR Carbon Copy - $90

Amp-
1970 Fender Twin Reverb - $500

-----------------------
Bottom line - $2270

I would include my Digitech Vocalist Live 4 (for which I only paid $125 anyway), but that's more of a vocal processor innit? I suppose I use it for the tuner and chorus/reverb effects for guitar also. Also figure a good deal of my money is in keyboards now ($300 in a microkorg, $650 in a Yamaha MO6, $650 in a Casio upright digital piano)

Is that mod just using a B-pot instead of an A?
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

Otherway round.

B = linear
A = Audio

C = reverse Audio incidentally.

Right, not a hard mod, just annoying on something with PCB mounted pots. We use As and Bs all the time, I think on every pedal.

This thread has actually made me feel better about myself, because some of you have ridiculous amounts invested in gear. So will I, probably, in ten years time. Ye's all better still be here, and have a similar growth in how much gear you have, so's I can feel better then too.

Guitars:

DeArmond M-65 (dunno, first guitar, Christmas present, say) - £160
Chinese Squier Jagmaster (think I was ripped off on this) - £180
Epiphone Emperor Regent Archtop (the list price is something like £800, but I got mine second hand) - £375
Fender Jag-stang - £380
Fender Aerodyne Tele - £505
Squier '51 - £90
A-ariton - £50
Guild Stormbird - £20
Yamaha 12-string acoustic - £20

GUITARS TOTAL: £2160

Amps:

Fender Frontman 25R - £120
Marshall AVT150H - £340
Marshall AVT412B - £260
Epiphone Valve Junior Head - £110
Fender Champion 600 - £130

AMPS TOTAL: £960

Effects

Boss DS-2 - £65
DOD Ice Pick Stereo Chorus - £55
Boss PW-10 V-wah - £120
Marshall the Guv'nor (original black version) £0 (Bargain)
Digitech WH-4 Whammy - £90
Mikes Saltbooster - £30

EFFECTS TOTAL: £360

GRAND TOTAL: £3480

Profile Stratocaster copy - $180 (AUD)
Audition Teisco copy - $20 (AUD)
► Show Spoiler
$1,020

Amps-

Roland Cube 30 - $150
Casino 15 - $50

Effects-

EH Little Big Muff - $80
Vestax MDX Digital Delay - $50
Digitech Bad Monkey - $60
Danelectro Blue Paisley - $75
Boss TU-12h - $100

Not half as bad as some. But again, two or three new acquisitions will be made within the next couple of weeks so that's bound to change although my Tele-project is likely to be 2-3months away as it needs to be painted, ect. (they said it takes 8-9weeks + shipping).
