yeah blargh blargh about the color.. i dont care what some of you think.
the burbz! that is an amasing guitar. i have the same guitar and thats my main guitar right now. its CIJ.
i had to change the bridge though, as many people do, with mustang modified. it's really good idea and it paid off.
as for tremolo, i dont see any bad things about it. actually, this jag is like the most stable guitar i played in my life. i abused tremolo a lot, then left the guitar for 2 weeks maybe, because i was on holiday, got back and man it was still in tune. i was amased.
the action has to be just a little higher so you can play it fully. this is perfect for me. i dont like action to be too high, it reminds me of russian guitars i had chance of playing.

I much prefer the kinda "banana" vibe of these ones, even though it's still pretty iffy.
can't belive they don't laqueor over the pickguard! how stupid...

They're great pickups for distorting and they keep the cleans pretty 'jaggy'.TheBurbz wrote:So I finally got the Antiguar Jaguar and I love it. One thing that bothers me is that the paint on the pickguard isn't lacquered, so in my curiousity to look underneath it some paint happened to peel off. Fuck knows how people manage to play them and keep the paint on the pickguard, I may change it for a W/B/W or B/W/B one just to save the stock one.
Oh and the Japanese trem sucks compared to the US one I had for a project.
I'm considering some SD Quarter Pounders or maybe some AV pickups, Ludger has a demo of the SD's on Youtube and they sound amazing!
Nice work on the score even though Antigua isn't my bag. They should paint the entire guitar the colour of the outer ring....a grey/green sort. That'd be cool.
I changed my mind on the pickups, I love the stock ones. Add a bit of chorus and flick the bass-cut switch and the sound is beautifully twangy, reminds me of The Smiths! My pickups also have no noticeable hum, although I haven't cranked the sound too far, I can see this guitar being my darling for a long time to come.
