That'd be good. I'd like to see this project get underway. I finished my part in November if I remember.

They probably pay him in gardening forks and mediocre velcro.

I have plenty of spending money, thank you very much! I bought the neck pickup, and I now have a neck, tuners, authentic Fender decal, neck plate, neck screws, string trees, nut, bushings and authentic deluxe knobs. That cost me a fair deal in total, I am totally investing in this project.

If there are no more parts available to finish the wiring Rob, just give me a shipping fee and I'll pay the fee it is to get sent over. It's a shame it couldn't be completed 100% by the community, but at least I can sleep at night knowing I contributed to this piece of beauty, I know I would never be able to live it down if I had such a nice guitar that I didn't pay for.

Kudos go to DDDave for his initial contributions with the body and pickguard(s), Sublimedo for the beautiful finish and all the kind and generous folk who have donated the other body parts that have gone into it so far.

I lose track of these long projects. I have to contribute in the beginning or I get disconnected.

someone send me some fuggin pots to wire thing completely before its off.

it would defeat the whole purpose of me getting all the parts to wire it up in the first place if i only wire half of it

Sublimedo wrote:Ok Dude. NOW you're going to love it. As of yesterday its painted and cleared. I'm off to wetsand and buff today and will take some pictures. The color is HOTTTT.. or actually COLD[/hint].
Sublimedo wrote:This thing is 100% comfort, man. Smooth and gloss everywhere. I WAS going to stick with metallic black but I can tell you were in love with the white so I kind of went with a sort of metallic white/Pearl. The camera is zoomed for the sake of the sparkles. The pearl is actually very shimmery and far from any offensive sparkle. Its almost mint in dark areas but in bright light its like ice packed snow. It really is a beautiful finish and I'm glad I went with it.

Fair enough Aug lent a hand, but seeing as Aug failed to mention that in this thread, and seeing as Sublimedo didn't mention him and said he had painted it himself, how was I to know otherwise? Sorry Dave.

I'm not sure what exactly is needed for the body, but in the pot department it's 3 potentiometers (500k probably best, but anything will do!), not sure about capacitors. Rob, am I right in thinking there are no body ferrules yet either?

Indeed he is. Now we just need a Robroe in here to point out what is actually needed. I am pumped about this all over again!
