I decided my pedalboard wasn't gay enough, so I spent today and this evening adding a synth, some technology and some expensive red wires. L@@K Mike, no cheap patch leads! I reckon I need to get a better miXXor though. Way to let the side down.
Oh yeah, everything is black or silver for some reason. TeH AnniXXXX!

current (economical) live setup-
top right to bottom left: noise suppressor, signal splitter, soundtank tubescreamer, fulltone distortion, tuner, dd3, big muff.
one channel has the tubescreamer, fulltone and delay and goes into a fender deluxe hot rod. the other channel is just the tuner and the big muff, which goes through a roland jc120. i never use any amp gain or effects.
the noise suppressor and the tuner act as mute switches so i can flick between amps independently.
and yes, i know most of the patch cables are shit, but i haven't got around to buying decent ones!

Yeh i really should do a RAT FAQ or a demo vid or something - the samples on the proco site are shite:James wrote:You're missing the obvious question here. How do the rats compare?
You Dirty RAT: Very compressed and smooth, lots of bass and lower mids. distortion is basically marshally at under 12 on the dial, and fuzz-like once you go over. its basically a tamed fuzz pedal.
Turbo RAT: lots of treble and bass, scooped mids. distortion sounds like your speaker is tearing, v unique. VERY loud, insane volume on tap. Yeah Yeahs Yeahs Nick always uses this pedal, listen to the instrumental guitar break on 'Maps' to hear it.
BRAT: not really a rat, sounds like a DS-2 but smoother. v punky. metal enclouser but no 9v power jack and the switch is worse than the worst beringer pedal.
Biyang DS-8 Mouse: based around Vintage RAT. sounds like a RAT cept less compressed and less mids, bass players would like it. switch has "max" and "turbo" modes which are just loud and louder (no LED clipping mode). Good build quality + true mechnical bypass, bargain for £19.
If i had to pick one it would be the Turbo, just cos its mental.
