I finally got a Telecaster!.....

the only experience i have with floyd rose setups is with dots' slutocaster...it seems like a lot of work, but i do remember it holding its tuning really well.

but your speech made me feel better.
I have been playing alot of floyd guitars lately, just stuff that has come into the shop.
they are fun, no doubt, and when they are setup correctly they rule ass!
but im still more partial to the jag and stang trem.
i likes the warbles more than the divers

I was a little drunk last night and realised i had to redeem myself, hence the speech lol. No, srsly, i meant it and i have been guilty myself.
Its great fun to jump around like a twat wearing shorts playing along to some Rawk with a pointy guitar. Whether or not i use it in a live situation is another matter. Although, i did take the more extreme looking BC Rich to band practice last week and the band liked it. Even Kathie whom prayed for the postal service to never deliver it (lol) admitted it sounds very good.

I know she's hating on the pointiezz metal guitars.

I like it, I want to try out some Slayer riffs on it. Is it bad that I want a metal guitar at the moment?

Every time I play a Floyd-equipped guitar, I just have to dive bomb the fucker all the way until the strings are totally slack....Then release it, to find the strings are still in tune. It amazes me every time....I'm easily impressed, though.

Oh yeah, but in a more conservative way. Its basically a SuperStrat with reverse headstock as oppose to something thats shape resembles a medieval weapon.

I got a good ebay price on the Cruiser, just be sly with your title and a good pic then it will come up in the 'Les Paul Junior' search.

The Ibanez will go easily i imagine. Any old Ibanez models are sought after.

Yup, thats what they're designed for! Totally floating, so almost unlimited travel up or down (well, you're limited by how much stress the strings can take). Only big issue for me is, you break a string and the whole system pulls out, making all the other strings go out of tune. But yes they're fun.

And Fran i'm well jealous of that geetar.
