hey folks need some help to establish the value on this badass fender bullet! im considering a major trade for it and a blonde deluxe reverb and head. any thought on what id pay for this in a store or on random net classifieds. it looks to be an 81 and the condition is decent with original hs case..
Looks dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooope. Does not compute, though. I'm not sure that stuff goes together.
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus
from what ive researched its actually an 82 the 81s had tele bodys.. theres one on "the bay" but thats not the best judge of value. i dunno?? i believe it to be the way it was out of the factory. they came with humbuckers too, another option i guess. i dig it tho its different and its not one of the squier ones. anyone else??
the bullets came in a few different styles. there were weird tele-shaped ones, strat ones with one humbucker, two humbuckers, two single-coils, etc. not exactly sure what they're worth, but $600 seems fairly reasonable for one. i wouldn't go much over that unless i was particularly in love with it.
I wish I had a pic of my old MIA bullet (HH), it had instead of what appeared to be humbuckers, they were just 2 single coils under robroe style covers, and had coil tap switches. It had a strat body and a tele neck just like yours. Played awesome. I think I sold it to buy my jag-stang, I surely miss it.
one time i went into my local music store looking for a set of "robroe covers." they just kinda looked at me until i said "solid covers." then they still looked at me like a doofus.

+1 - I've done that a few dozen times - they still haven't joined the damn forum.
I had a 82 squier like that - awesome guitar with a great sunburst, but I had a lot of fenders at that point and wanted another amp (bad move). The necks on the bullets are loverly.
I asked Robroe if he could make me some covers. Then he told me, that he doesn't make covers, they're jus named after him. I was so depressed.

I've tried one of these..didn't dig the combined scratchy & bridge, but it was kinda cool none-the-less. Pickup selector was a bit borked though, so didn't get all the couplatones I could've.
