hmmm.. i kind of felt like i had egg on my face untill mikes post. In the past i have noticed some claws to be unsecure on a few Jags i've owned. An idea might be to let a candle drip hot wax across the bottom of the claw then swiftly push the pup onto it securing it.
Having said that i submerged the whole pickup, cover and claw in hot wax and still got microphonic feedback.

God knows.

I feel like i've been having this debate for 4 years.
