When I was a kid I used to frequently watch my Dad get thrown across the room rewiring sockets after my Mum turned off the lightining ring instead of the mains.

Good News: No electrocution

Bad News: I waggled all night long and couldn't find anything that may be causing it. There are 2 resistors that are soldered pretty close and when i connected them there was a god awful noise but i guess if that was what was causing it then it would happen the whole time since this is electricity and not water, a leak is a leak no matter how big or small.

Honestly though, it doesn't really bother me, its a great pedal and i don't want to possibly break it completely. If anyone can think of anything else though i will take a look into it. Thanks for all your help.

At this stage I would make an audio probe and have a listen to various different areas of the circuit to determine where it originates.

You just get a low end increase over that last like 1/4 of the dial anyways, it doesn't add a ton more gain or nowt, so you're not missing out on too much.

You can still email my boss...

I, for one, find it awesome!
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

I did not wish to know that.

I've managed to have it up one arm, across my chest, and down the other, while stood on a wooden chair. For about five seconds, because my hands gripped the terminals that were shocking me in the first place. I believe I could call this "life threatening". Not realising this at the time, I just sat and chainsmoked, waiting for my heart to slow down from it's "hummingbird" setting.

Rofl, what the hell was the person who thought up the electric chair thinking? What an absolutely bizarre method of killing someone.

Yeah, a slap about the chops with a Martmite-Smeared Yellow Pages is how I want to go out.

Nowt so cool (if being executed is particularly cool...) - I was changing a bulb in an outside halogen light, stood on a patio chair. I couldn't be arsed to reset the video etc. so left the mains on - it was on a photo-electric cell controlled lamp, and it was broad daylight. The bulb kept popping in and out of the terminals, so I held one end and wedged the other terminal open with my finger. In doing this, I blocked the photo electric cell, making the lamp think it was night time, and giving me a jolt.
