Great thread. Haven't messed with alt. tunings in too long a time. Used (try) to play some Joni Mitchell stuff & of course every kid tried Page's stuff in DADGAD.

Just grabbed my Jag & tuned to D G C G C D and dropped one of the better loops I've come up with lately. Enjoyed the hell out of that until my wife was about to tear her hair out & pulled up a tab for 'the Rain Song' which is dead easy & bunches of fun to play. Yay for forums. :D

My favourite is EBEBBE. It's really hypnotic and nice for Indian folk music inspired drones.
