faux-80's melody maker from the future

Post by Sublimedo »

OMG. What have I done.
I bought this GFS pepto melody maker but never really kept a bridge on there. I eventually got around to putting a proper bridge on there but rather than leaving it there, I decided to put the Gk-3 pickup I had on sale for a while on it. I think it fits the vibe.

THIS is pretty cool. Its a cream pearloid control cover. I had dremeled a disgustin wiring route on the back, so I cleaned it up and slapped this up in there with leftover pg material. No screws, it just squeezes in their. I think it looks very Miami Vice.

couldn't have said it better. its just a silly project. I wouldn't want to put the gk-3 on any of my other guitars though as it's an eyesore. I just that I may as well put it on something that was already cheesy as hell.

I wish I had two more hands so I could give this project 4 thumbs down.

Kerazzy. What are you using as the synth for the GK-3?

I think you could go the whole hog and turn that control plate into a pearloid NCC-1701. Front looks good.
