Nah it's replaced. I'm not sure how long ago, but the tolex was done before the previous owner had it, and the cloth by the previous owner because someone had replaced it badly and he wanted to change it back to a more vintage-correct style.

Can you link the channels on there or would the two channels be out of phase?

Bassman prices over here > bassman prices over there.

I paid £495 for it. I still think that's an awesome deal and I'm fairly confident of being able to at least get that back if I ever sell it, especially with the circuit mojo points.

I haven't actually done it yet. Tomorrow is jump day.

I checked it out on a different forum and it seems when you jump it you run both channels at once in parrallel. Will be interesting for sure.

Just read this little nugget about the two inputs on each channel....
If you plug two guitars in, the two inputs are the same. If you plug one guitar into input 1, it sees the two 68k resistors on the inputs in parallel, for a 34k resistance. If you plug into input 2 without anything plugged into input 1, it sees the full 68k series resistance of one and the 68k resistance of the other as a path to ground. This results in a slightly 'padded down' input and a somewhat quieter and darker sound.

Channel Jumping FTW!
I tried it on a reissue Bassman and it gave it a little extra kick. Sounded a little more gutsy.

Basically in this case it'll be running the bass side and the normal side at once. It means running an extra two pre amp tubes and should get a bit more gain?

You plug in like normal to either channel, then take a cable from the second input of that channel to one of the inputs on the other.

After half an hour of playing around with pedals I have come t the following conclusions:

- I need more dirt pedals
- I need to form a doom-metal band

This thing has some serious bass.

Also, my cab sounds fucking lovely.
