Danelectro Chili Dog Octave

Post by othomas2 »

Just took a cheeky bid on one of these this evening and won it... was initially going to fork out for a micro pog but then I thought somethin' else (not so expensive) would probably fulfill my needs just as well. Was very impressed with my mates Danelectro pedal I heard years back so thought I'd give it a go. For £11 you can't grumble surely... Can't seem to find many reviews on the thing though... :? Anyone own one ?

Alas, it won't track chords like the Micro Pog can, but for single string stuff, it'll be fine, especially using the neck pickup- I've heard some samples and it's fairly close to the Boss OC-2 and Arion Octaver.

From that guy with 40ish feedback? £10 start £6 pstage? I was considering the same, but forgot to check it near the end.

I own one. Actually, I think that I recorded a demo or two for Doog a few years ago. It's pretty okay, especially for the price. I find that it sometimes has a hard time finding one octave to hit, so you get a bit of jumping between notes on it. Nothing serious, though.
