And if the stock pickup sucks, at least something decent would be cheap and easy to find to replace it, since it's a standard Strat size.

What colours did the original Musicmaster basses come in? I've seen early 70's ones come up on ebay in different custom colours... I always thought Fender didn't put anything out in the custom colours back then (except for oly white), but these basses make me wonder. Is this one seafoam, or a faded surf or daphne?

Too bad there's no tuners on it... IIRC Fender used some weird sized tuners on these basses that were different than the ones used on their other bass models.

they're nice little basses, but the pickups are shit. for a bass anyway. i suspect they're just mustang/musicmaster/duo guitar pickups.
