hehe, I've seen this one a couple of times before and I've wondered how they dated it. A '72 with matching headstock and white decal is a little unusual. As far as the finish goes I would be all for it, if it was natural wear and tear, but that paint is totally retarded looking. If you could look past that I would bet It's not a bad guitar, just not at that price.
Maybe I would be more interested if it were a '69 and not red.
