Nuts... That VW is at this pawn shop in Dallas for 400... And on craigslist for 200.
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

i picked one up for $26.99, i swapped out the humbucker and bridge for a tele tail piece with a dimarzio twang king in it, then wired the pup direct to the output jack, since th tone pot in it was useless, and my volume is usually all the way up.

the first time i sat and jammed out on it though the neck almost killed my hand, but a nice little sand job later and its pretty smooth now, also had to lower the frets a bit since it had a tendency to buzz on the low and hi E at the first fret, but its much nicer with the lowered frets..
i take a pic of it the next time i'm at my jam space..

what i found weird is that the model i picked up didn;t exist on the first act page, or at the website for the store i found it at (oddly, yet not oddly, at the source, by circuit city)

i gave lessons to a kid that had one with a flame job on it, it was decent enough but the bridge was set over a bit too much and in tern made the low e string hang off the fretboard after 15th fret or so.

From what I've seen, the ones the sell at Walmart/Costco are complete shit but their higher end models are excellent budget guitars.

First Act Delia LS

Those pickups sound pretty allright clean but the gain sound is asses in masses.
