My MT-2...

Post by Haze »

Took a shit in the SHITTER

no eq, no gain, no level
the only thing it does is if it you turn the level away from noon, it looses volume, even if you're turning it up!

and boss won't cover it because i didn't keep the receipt and didn't fill out the waranty in time

awesome company, boss, but come on, honor your PRODUCTS!
cunts...

If I had a Metal Zone and it died I would be happy.

What's the story behind the damage? It's possible that it's a simple fix.

Have you tried it with both a power adaptor and a battery?

Sorry, I hate Metal Zones and Funk. At the moment you're in a really bad place.

In all seriousness unless you have a modicum of electronic debug and soldering skill you're not going to be able to fix it. It sounds like a pot has come loose or a flying wire has become disconnected. I would take it to a local shop if you have one and see what they can do with it. Aren't they quite cheap anyway, it's hardly a desirable pedal.

Anyway. Whatever.

Any other pedals in the chain at the time?

Have you taken the back off and looked at the PCB for any obviously dead components?

sweet, useful information, i'll get around to checking the pots today and see whats up
i know its not the best pedal, but i keep it around for a bit of grit and boost + i find it doesn't loose alot of bottom end in my setup, which is something i DO like about this pedal [when it is working]
cheers, mike

The pot itself is unlikely to be broken.

Actually seeing as they're small size and PCB mounted that would be my first port of call. That pedal has a daughter board with the pots on it.
