The blackface Bassmen are all 50w, the first few silverface ones still say "bassman amp" and are 50w, and then they started oing the "Bassman 50" model a little later. I think they renamed it when they released the 100w version (Bassman 100). Later still they did a Bassman 70 and a Bassman 135
I think saying "bassman 50' on it makes it later than '72, but that one has the earlier style logo so it's probably 72-74 (I'm guessing the years from memory a little).
It'll be fairly similar to the bassman I took to doogfest but the bass and instrument channels will sound pretty much the same as each other on the silverface.

BASSMAN TEN FUCK YEAH YEAH FUCK YEAH
the silverface bassman amps all rule, so long as you get a pree '76 model. the ones from '76 and on have ultralinear transformers and are super sterile and clean. no bassman grind. just clean sterile hospital stuff.
i had a bassman 50 from 76 for a little bit and i hated it. it was loud as hell, but didnt sound like a bassman. all the voltages were way high.
i used to have a 72 bassman ten and it was rock and roll everywhere holy shit yeah. the bassman ten amps break up into that sweet sweet saturation and they just sounds balls to the wall.

What is Hum Balance ?
Is this a form of Hum Dinger ?
Going back a long time to an amp me and another chap put together for a friend of our's based on a AC10 twin he had (circiut wise anyway), it is a variable resistor on the output of the 6.3v coil (there may have been a Cap in parallel) to "tune out" the hum induced by the ac to the heaters.
I stand to corrected here, it's all a bit vague now.
