bored at work = jazzstang concept

Post by finboy »

work sucked, so i decided to fix up this with whatever office supplies i had handy...

Image

the comp orange thread got to me, please ignore the wrong scale for the trem, shit job on the stripes, and the horrible inlays

competition orange with matching headstock, maybe LPB undercoat (because rob's mustang is hot as hell), block and bound neck, jazzmaster trem, jazzmaster bridge pickup (maybe p90 or jag in jazzmaster housing), mustang neck pickup, vintage perloid guard, 70's f-hole tuners, body contours, standard mustang switches or jag black rollers with 3 way rotary switches?

the body has obviously had some work, shaved down lower horn and lower bout to fit the contour of the pickguard, control plate, and take care of the excessive amount of wood at the back, and the top contour had a bit of shaving to make it more jag like.

i have a neck in the works for this, but i probably won't be building it any time soon as i am back in school at the end of the month, and all my guitar money is already alloted to other projects/pedals, so this might be a long term.

and yes, 5 year old children have better writing abilities then i do

Indeed - the body contour flows MUCH better. If I'd drawn that and seen the Jagstang's "oops, I left the body in a hot oven and it melted" shape I would have been annoyed.

Oh - NOW I get it, the Jagstang is the "aqua seafoam shame" he sings about in "All Apologies"!
