ACK! My PC has LOADS of Demos that I need to upload. I can't believe our collective has gone this far. Just rules.

Indeed. I made a pub thread to say just that. I can't wait to see your new demos!

Oh man, I think I'm going to have to use "You act as if I don't know I can't play it, you cretin" at a show sometime. Germanium fuzzes are always great, and this is no exception. Really brings out the Stooge in anyone.

haha

I'm amazed at how much building some fuzz pedals for people has made me appreciate them and what they're for. I love them. Germanium transistors are something else, although the Woolly Mammoth and the Foxx Tone Machine have a style all of their own with their Silcon Transistor and Germanium diode (in the Tone Machine) construction.

You're all young like when you shave.

100 demos is a fucking awesome achievement. Kudos to those who've contributed.

Oh fuck, wow, thanks Mike. Been out all day, so this was my first chance to watch this. It sounds fantastic, much better than I thought it was, definitely one of the fuzz sounds I've been wanting to get hold of. The fact that you started the demo with a Stooges riff is a good omen, and the fact you muffed it makes me feel even better.

I muff everything man, I'm a real pro. I'll get it in the post to you first thing Thursday 1st Class.

I think it's an ace pedal. A lot of these builds I've been doing I am often very sad to see go - this one is no different.

a hundred pieces of gear. . . that's just nutso. good job, shortscale.

HAY MIEK? you want i should send you my pedals to demo? every time i start one, i feel like i'm that kid watching his own dance moves in the mirror. it's fucking horrible. you seem so natural at it, and there are a couple pieces of gear i really think you'd be interested in rocking the fuck out on. don't mind the shipping; i'll post it to you and paypal return postage so all you have to do is open the box, plug in, and rock.

Mate you should totally start making demos, I'm sure you'd be awesome at it. After the first one you'll get over the initial "why the fuck am I talking to a camera alone?" thing and just realise it's nerdy but good fun. Or you could go the Doog route and just set up the camera close to the pedal and do some preplanning riffing and knob twiddling - you don;t necessarily have to chat or whatever, although it is fun to see.

that said, if you really fancy I'd love to demo some stuff, unless there are some closer to home guys that could chip in (Roach and Sub etc)?

meh. . . i just love your doggie style, brother. i don't feel like i'd personally bring anything to the table, but you're clearly the "face" of shortscale on youtube, though i do not diminish what others have been doing, either. hurb's gotten free pedals ffs.

anyway, i'll see we can send a loaner package from socal to ya; if not, i'll still do it. off the top of my head, i have the fender chorus and fatbooster that i'd like you to check out. more than that i'm certain if i think about it.

Sounds good man, I'm happy whichever way you choose to go.

I'd say Hurb is as widely known for his demos as me, and he invented the damn process (I just stole the credit). Some of my favourite demos are buy Cowbell, Aen and Sloan etc, when other people step up to the plate they really deliver.

Lol @ back in black reference. I just learn't that last night so I can play it on the Deluxe (I can't play it well yet)

I love germanium fuzz. Thge touch sensetive thing is dead right, the Lemon fuzz is gret for that.

This is a terrifying moment, just before the leg of your shorts arrives, where I thought you were testing the pedal naked. Perhaps in some sort of anti-static precaution...
