What opamp are they using in the Mouse? It doesn't look like a proper LM308 nor the acceptable replacement LM318. Can you read the numbers on the chips pls?

Looks nothing like a RAT with all those 16 pin ICs and that.
*shrug* These days I see classic circuits with all kinds of additional chips. Could have been an SMD dual opamp with a flip-flop for switching like the Boss pedals do.
For example, the DS-1 is pretty much a Rat with a BMP tone stack. Those have extra chips over what a normal Rat does, but it functions pretty close to the same.

That's due to the opamp used in the DS-1, the coupler caps, and diode selection in the DS-1. I've heard very very nice DS-1 pedals achieved with some simple modding to the above items. Even just fixing the coupler caps is a huge improvement.
The key to the sound of the RAT is the opamp they used. There's some other factors but that's the main one, you can fiddle with other aspects of the circuit a bit but it still sounds like a RAT. The DS-1 becomes a totally different pedal with just a few minor changes.

thats interesting. The Fish N chips and its boss equivilent (GE-7) both have 15GB of range in each slider, and pushing them up and down makes a dramatic difference. The Biyang EQ has "+15" and "-15" written on, so i assumed it was a straight copy.
What guitar and amp you using? At the very least, have you tried pushing the level sider all the way up - doesn't it make a massive level increase? Not try boosting the mids, upper mids and level, to make a transparent mid boost for soloing?
As for the other two - the analog trem is interesting, but i dont really use tremelo. if i did, i'd probably buy the biyang one just cos of the nice square/sin mix knob and true bypass. Fuzz doesn't interest me too much as im kinda all fuzzed out really; the only one i'd now buy would be a Little Big Muff. The analog chorus and phaser look nice, but again there are similar priced EHX equivilents that also have true bypass and better resale value.
Aren't the biyang pedals well construsted though - great switches and perfect bypass!
I missed a word of my post, it is considerably quieter when you boost the sliders. The Fish N Chips is a clone of the GE-7 with better filtering. It's the same as the "Sniper mod" that is floating around the internet
