What is CAR?laterallateral wrote:I think the daphne blue one is gone.
the one I saw get dropped was a CAR
This was three weeks ago.
I really liked the light blue one

I'll just ask them to order a new blue one I guess...
I really liked the feel of the mustang, only reason why I wanted to change the bridge cause friends told me the bridge is bad, but if people that actually own one say it's not I'll listen to them.BacchusPaul wrote:Wait, you want a Jaguar or Mustang with a humbucker in the bridge, and would rather have a Strat bridge than a Mustang bridge?
Why not just hold on to the Jagmaster? What's the problem with it?
I was only thinking of getting the humbucker for volume, but I think I don't fully understand what they do.....and I really like the gibson / jagmaster style switches, that's why I wanted to change it to that.

yeah, fromm what you`re saying, the Jagmaster is the best fit for you.
If you`re thinking of getting a new guitar because of quality issue you may be having with your Chinese Jagmaster (god knows there are), I would highly recommend finding a Vista model. In terms of features, they`re almost the same but in terms of build quality, the`re like entirely different guitars.
red, CAR is Candy Apple Red
I think there`s a mucousy yellow one at Steve`s now, too.

Like i said before, I really liked the mustang when I played it, but I wasn't able to play it into an amp....the adjustments i wanted to do were friends giving me some advice, because to be honest, I'm trying to get a similar sound to what Cobain had, but come to think about it I don't think cobain's mustang had a humbucker in it.laterallateral wrote:yeah, fromm what you`re saying, the Jagmaster is the best fit for you.

ahhh...I really don't like the red as much as the blue and sunburst....by some chance do the mustangs come in green burst?

I really like it, but the mustang just feels perfect for me, like the size of the neck was perfect and everything

Thankfully, mustangs do not come in green burst!
I mean, you could make that happen, if you wanted it hard enough but...
... I would keep it very far away from mustang lovers.

I thought the new Jagmasters have much the same neck as the Mustangs.
To be honest, I really don't know why you would change. It sounds like you don't really know what you want from the guitar, except that it must have some link with some dead guitarist. Obviously you should do what you want, but is it worth putting down serious money on something that you don't know if you want or not?

hmmm, I thought i'd get that response from people on here, but I'm probably not gonna get a new guitar till I get a new amp, and help my brother with getting a new amp, so I'll probably decide on what I wanna do around november....I'm gonna try them out before I buy them obviously, and these changes I wouldn't make till I realized what I liked, and what I didn't like about the guitarBacchusPaul wrote:I thought the new Jagmasters have much the same neck as the Mustangs.

yeah, I say if you`re absolutely dead set on getting a mustang or jaguar with buckers, in daphne blue or sunburst, with either a strat or TOM bridge, you can stick to Jagmasters, wait for the Classic player HH Jags to hit the shelves in Mtl. or snatch a Cyclone or a Toronado from The Bay.
And in the measure of what is possible, absolutely try them out before you buy.

Yeah of course I'll try them before I buy them, the only jag I played was the one that goes for 1,500$ at archambault, was pretty good but I prefered the mustanglaterallateral wrote:yeah, I say if you`re absolutely dead set on getting a mustang or jaguar with buckers, in daphne blue or sunburst, with either a strat or TOM, you can stick to Jagmasters, wait for the Classic player HH Jags to hit the shelves in Mtl. or snatch a Cyclone from The Bay.

Mr violence you seriously need to wait a few years till you buy a new guitar as you dont seem to have a clue. you just need time on this forum and you will be OK.

hh jags are brilliant. . . at least mine is. ask anybody who's ever played it, and they'll tell you it's one of the most comfy necks ever. i didn't really care for the sound the stock pickups had, but that's an easy thing to upgrade (i changed out in favor of some humbucker spaced p90's).
used to have a 69 reissue comp stang, too, and that also had a great neck. for a time, i had a mini humbucker in it, but i took that out a few months before i sold it. i'm thinking i might build another with the humbucker, though.
the neck on my 62 ri jag is ok, but it's definitely not my favorite.
anyway, there are guitars already made with the options you want, so you don't necessarily have to mod one. BUT, i'm an elitist about such things. . . so long as you're not chopping up an actual vintage instrument, i say do whatever makes sense to you. it'll either work out, and you'll be stoked. . . or it will suck and you'll learn something. i've had both experiences.

no one has recomended a vista musicmaster to him yet.
mustang body. humbucker. cooler looking than a cyclone.
every sonic blue one i have ever seen has yellowed to green by now though.

if you really want to get fancy you could import an american special cyclone that was only released in japan
