Shall bodge something together tomorrow after work! I'll do a stock demo first, even with the pussy strings (10s i thinks) and even weaker stock pickups. First port of call is a rewire and a set up.

Holy shit! Tomorrow it is! Suck it shortscalers! It's exciting, but sucks, needs big man strings! The short scale is super comfortable, I wasn't expecting it to be this easy to play.

The switches look smaller but everything else looks very close. Is it 24" scale?

It feels like a 24" scale, the first fret is definitely tighter than on a les paul. The switches are pretty tight feeling, a solid click is needed, and it's a bit tight. Might stick some new switches in there when rewiring. I'll knock a thread up in a bit, got some semi-decent pictures of it. Got gay strat knobs on it, they gotta go.

Yeah know how to check right? Measure from the nut to the 12th fret and double it. Also what's thenut width? Standard Fender is 1 5/8" or 42mm

Didn't have my long straight edge to hand earlier, scale is 24" and nut width is a shade over 40 mm, no more than 41 mm.

Can't believe how quiet the pickups are, to get any sound out of them i have to crank my tiny terror from a room loud 1ish on the volume to half way up around 4ish. I'll rewire it first, got a scratchy volume pot, and see it it helps. Does sound good at those volumes though.
