Roachello's Eye Candy 2009

Post by roachello »

I might've posted these once or twice before, and some of them are from like 3 years ago, but they're all pretty damn sexy!

using prismacolor pencils, marker, and sharpie

I like all of it. You should do a comic book in the style of the first one. It can be about your Uncle with teh superpowers. I also like the light sculpture and the renderings. Man, computers make things look slick.

New designs! For our first project this semester, we worked with the snowboard company Flow to create new designs. It was a contest (which I lost :() but here's some of my concepts. I worked on strictly the base plate aesthetics for a new base plate design.

thing i always loved about the pedal design is that the fins would keep you from accidentally moving the knobs

It's snowboard bindings- what you strap your boots in to stay connected to the snowboard

The bloody idiots. When I read your post, I though "fair enough, the chances of winning something like this must be fairly slim, regardless of the quality of work, given the numbers of people involved." Then I had a duke at your designs, and I have no idea how anything else could be chosen. What do they want? Blood?

I lost because of practicality and because it wouldn't be cheap to manufacture :( At least you guys like it, it helps me feel like less of a loser <3

But you're an artist? You shouldn't be concerned with such monkey work, that's for engineers to sort out.
