Kenny Wayne Shepherd Signature Strat

I make it a general rule of thumb not to listen to guitarists that only other guitarists listen to, though with KWS the fact that his original claim to fame was "being young" is sort of the deal-sealer.
Nice to see he's got his own John Mayer sig now though.

In the arly nineties he kind of took over as the big, modern blues guitarist after Stevie Ray Vaughan died, although has often been criticised for how similar his style is to SRV's, who he took a huge amount of influence from.Mike wrote:Who?
He's not great. Imagine SRV, except pro-toolsed up the wazoo.
He only plays with the strings upside down. He plays left handed, but the guitar is strung like a righty. He learned to play on a right handed guitar but never bothered to restring it like a lefty. I have no idea how it's even possible to finger a chord with the strings upside down.DGNR8 wrote:Exactly. Who are these people? Dick Dale's should have been at least 20 years ago. I would hit that. I wonder if he mods his. I think he can play it with the strings on upside down. Srsly
You can see some close ups of his fretting hand in this video.
