EQ Placement?

Post by mezzio13 »

I've started messing about with my DOD America Metal distortion pedal, which is a favorite of mine. It's short coming is that it rolls off almost all mids, and ups the bass a bit. So I figure put an EQ in the chain for leads and stuff when I need more oopmh out o fthat sound. I can't figure if I want to boost it before the pedal, upping the amount of mids to cut, or put it afterwards and try to up the (very little) mids left. Suggestions?

I'd put it after the eq.

I figured as much. Now I just have to figure out how to counter my half-assed ebaying. I was searching old DOD eq's like I had, and bid on another Gate Loop instead. Fucking dummy.

I played around with eq placement, and liked it before any distortion/od/fuzz, but thats just me. Look into a behringer eq or dano fish n' chips. Shad had one for sale a while back. PM him.
