i need some pick up advice for my jagmaster

This is shortscale. It's where you say what you really want, don't stop.

But yeah, wait until you get it. Most of the people online reviewing guitars on places like HC are twats and because it's a jagmaster quite a large chunk of those people want teh kurdtz mega so they've already got a super distortion in the post before the guitar arrives and they want to justify to themselve that they needed to change the pickup.

I've been happy with the Dream 180's. I think they suit the guitar well, and they give me a sound that I can't get from my other guitars. This is my first guitar with humbuckers, since I usually go for a very clean and defined sound and in my experience humbuckers can be a little darker than I like. But I picked up the Jagmaster for a song and I thought I'd experiment with it.

The Dream 180's are very very hot--if I switch from my Mustang to the Jagmaster without changing amp settings there's a huge increase in volume and drive. They also seem hotter than the stock pickups. Clean, the bridge pickup has nice sparkle on the highs. I'm not crazy about the neck pickup on its own, but together they sound good. With the gain turned up they're exactly as advertised. No mud, dead quiet.

I had originally planned to switch to 1 Meg pots when I changed the pickups, but I decided to keep the stock ones for a while and they sound good to me.

i've been happy with the sound out of my jagmaster i run it through the clean chan on my head and use a russian big muff for distortion.. and pretty much all guitars sound the same through that thing..
however i get mad feedback on it when my volume is all on on the guitar..

I was in your shoes a while back as well. Before I even got the Jagmaster, I was already looking for replacement pups. Once I got it, though, the stock ones turned out to be great, and I decided to keep them in.

The guys who buy it and immediately put in a JB and PAF don't take enough time to play around with it stock.

I think the stock p-ups are good enough. i play my friends jagmaster on a regular basis and i never have trouble getting a good tone.
