I sound like a Southern gentleman Stephen Hawking upon reflection.More Cowbell wrote:LoL at your accent when you say "dewgkayster 2".
The worst thing bout the guitar is that it has one of those "hang over" 22nd frets, so you can't lift the scratchplate without removing the neck since the pickups are body-mounted. I'm almost tempted to just saw it off and sand it down, been driving me nuts putting it together

Just picked up some Kluson copies on Weebay because the B machinehead button is starting to crack and generally feel a bit looooose. Might put 'em on my other Strat and use the current ones on the D-Caster 2, not sure yet.
Currently tweaking the action and nut, it's a-gettin' better!

Think I will, won't be hard to cut it level with the heel.More Cowbell wrote:BE A MAN AND DO IT.Doog wrote:I sound like a Southern gentleman Stephen Hawking upon reflection.More Cowbell wrote:LoL at your accent when you say "dewgkayster 2".

It's just a pain, and I'm sure I'm gonna remove it more often than I'll play on the 22nd fret. For now, I'll leave it though.
Fakey non-slothead Klusons arrived yesterday, put em on this morning:
The holes were slightly too far apart from make it the snuggest of fits, but fuckit it- doesn't look too bad and the tuners ain't moving around or anything:
ROCK ROCK ON!

Yea, it's not a big deal that they're spaced funny.
Looking good, though, son.

If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus
