What do you have at the moment Fibus?

If it's a Mexican Standard then just do it.

Every picture of the new 50's Tele and 50's and 60's Squier strat I have seen look awesome. They should just make all the Squiers like that.

If you can, buy one and maybe Fender will get it that people like this style more.

It is indeed a Mexican Standard. But i quite like it, especially the neck.....though i am tempted.

The only thing that lets it down is that like euan i am not a fan of the super glossy necks, this is the same reason i ended up not getting a baja, i just prefer the feel of the standard one.

But damn it looks good.

Now I love super glossy necks. I just think the neck on that is a bit too tinted. There is a fine line between sexy and haggard.

Here.

I've got a white Ernie Ball strap, they're alright.

All my guitars have Ernie Ball poly straps. I like them. The older version I have are better than the newer ones because the plastic bit doesn't sit in an awkward place.

Just finalized the order placing for the 2-tone green Tele-anniver$ary last night with the luthier, and this post is not helping me at all.

Does it sound better than an mim standard? Im thinking about buying this or a baja, and this is $500 less, so its more tempting. I need to try one out I suppose.

I guess I should have asked how it compairs to the Classic series than. I'll probably buy this instead of a baja, or I might buy a used Classic 50s or 60s tele. I cannot do Baja, my car needs an interior before that.
