Jagmaster problem
Yes, so my guitar is being fucking stupid.
but only sometimes.
the low E string drops half a step sometimes when I strum.
the g string drops half/ a full step (varies) when I bend it (bending half a step)
and my high e string is just fucking retarded, it randomly goes out of tune sometimes when you're changing it's tuning, you'll feel a lot of tension, then it just gets alot flatter.
how do I fix my guitar?
p.s. sorry for the swearing, I really like this thing but the crappy tuning is pissing me off.

I don't even know how to rap the strings around a bunch of times, they usually just rap around 2 times (tops) and it's okay....I've done this for 3 years, never any problems like this.markleton wrote:Get those strings properly stretched in, sounds like things are just settling down. Make sure your nut is well lubed up with graphite from a pencil. Check the tuning pegs, the strings should be neatly wrapped without many wraps overlapping.
Should I get thicker strings....would that help at all?

i wouldnt think changing string gauge would do anything in this case. but what guage are you using now?ultraviolence wrote:I don't even know how to rap the strings around a bunch of times, they usually just rap around 2 times (tops) and it's okay....I've done this for 3 years, never any problems like this.markleton wrote:Get those strings properly stretched in, sounds like things are just settling down. If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

Ok, blocking the trem sucks, because it slightly lowers your action (possible buzzing) and can throw off your intonnation. If you put heavier strings on there, you'll have to re-adjust the trem springs and possibly your intonnation.
First off stretch the hell out of those strings, and then strech them some more. I usually prefer three wraps on the posts, so two migh not be enough. I put even more on te plain strings.
If you really want to hone things up get a Trem-setter or a Tremol-no, which will stop your bridge from moving back, even if you bust a string, ANDwill lock in at your already set intonnation and correct bridge height.
