What is the price range going to be? The original sold for $110, or $581 in today's money.

haha im not sure about the box. just maybe.

it will be wayyy cheaper than the vintage ones. it will probably be around the $300 range. im shooting for lower but who knows. depends on the cost of manufacturing.

i'll keep you updated with new info as soon as we get it!

oh, and we bought a vintage unit to study. its a 68 i think. its rad. it cost $2500. yikes.

$300???!
FUUUCK.

Dude srsly. You guys should do preorders to get an idea of how much you can sell right off the bat, order TONS OF PARTS to cut costs and sell them for $50 or less. You might sell a shit ton of them at that price? B00T33K.

$300 is totally reasonable for a true Univibe clone and already undercuts all the boot33k equivalents. Shit, I think the Fulltone is $500. It's also reasonable given how many parts go into the circuit, PLUS the ridiculous amount of troubleshooting and tuning to get the LDR just so.

I'd be interested in getting one - definitely keep me updated!

is that too much? i dunno, we want to undercut all the other guys, while still providing more. its gonna have the expression pedal with the DIN connector, so you can buy our expression pedal separate and use it with a vintage univibe if you lost the expression pedal or whatever. its also gonna be made of thicker steel so it will be really sturdy, and it will sound amazing.

the tentative name is Wattson Classic SuperVibe

we bought a vintage univibe and it sounded like absolute garbage. $1200 FOR A CRAPPY SOUNDING UNIVIBE.

so we did some poking around and replaced a few electrolytics and BAM its back.

we have already done some engineering and did a schematic.

just a sneak peek for youse guys, we have designed a preamp circuit for the input of the univibe that boosts the signal coming in so that the univibe works awesome with guitar. the univibe was originally designed for line level keyboards, so the low level of the guitar is a little underpowered for the univibe. there is a bypass switch for the circuit, so you can use the guitar preamp circuit, or completely bypass it for vintage univibe stylee. the switch will be mounted internally to keep the aesthetics VRANTAGEE.

How many do you make when you make batches, incidentally?

Do you make like 5 boards and then wire them into 5 casings or is it a pedal by pedal process?

we usually do all the boards first, but its mostly our other technician Phoung doing circuit board stuffing, and while hes doing that im doing the chassis build. we ususally build in lots of 50-100, depending on how many parts we order that build obviously. the last was 100, and this next build is 100 too.

Bloody hell that's a lot of pedals. Does that not make your back ache? If I do three in a row I'm in pain.

yeah it does, but im getting used to having horrible back and neck pain. gotta make a livin! ugh. i do wish i could hire a few more assemblers and just take care of the design/engineering aspect rather than building tons of pedals all the time. but its a labor of love.

Been there... You don't wanna put stuff off for too long, it can slip away...
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus
