OLC Chunky Cheese - Finished mine, show us yours?

Post by drasp »

Built it in a box like Sonic VI at HCFX. Powder coated & then labeled it w/ a Paint Sharpie. Great pedal. Who else has done one?

That housing looks great, a bit crammed but nice.

EXCELLENT! I saw this on another forum...
I love the case, lots...

I've built tons, but I work for them, so.............
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

Excellent! Glad you posted it here. What site is it that has all those Family Circus panels w/ the Lovecraft excerpts in the word balloons? Those are funny as shit. . .

There is actually a LOT more room than it looks like in that picture. It's considerably larger than the box OLC includes w/ the kit. I was going to use one of those sexy Bulgin 9V drawers but didn't have it in time and drilled the case w/o room to use it. Still need to work out something permanent for the battery. . . Will probably just epoxy a spring clip or something simple. ;)

It's been resprayed and clearcoated since, but it's still decal-less- kinda like it that way.

I meant the knobs. I don't like it when Knobs are all close together because I'm a clutz. Maybe its just the angle of the pic. The Lovetone one is nice and spaced out. I love oversized pedals for that reason. You can move everything very lazily or even use your boot toe.

Oooohh. Yeah, it's cramped as heck. I was very careful in drilling the box so there is zero interference between knobs through their full range, but only just. ;)

Stop talking about other forums that don't appreciate good gear demos.

You should demo more high end ridiculously priced boutique stuff.
You're not very good at soloing

I'll never post again at Haunting Mids. Their loss.

Ah, they don't tend to like any sort of spoken content in demo vids over there, sadly. Although the whole hauntingmids thing is meant to be ironic: although they don't quite share shortscale's Behringer love, they're not too corksniffery.

I wasn't impressed. It was a shoddy first impression.
