I think a lot of companies do UV curing these days because it dries faster. I read Taylor do it, PRS do it and I'm pretty sure the roof of Fender's factory is one big UV curing conveyor belt.

I doubt it's the exact same thing Fender is doing. Fender's new finsihes on their new non-vintage style lines are always dull. These don't look dull at all and Fenders always yellow, even the poly ones fucking yellow.

The freaking CEO posts on that site. It's a weird religion over there. I may have been tempted to put cat poly over my black nitro, but I am sure I would have asphyxiated myself. Aphasiacked? There was some question about when they started using CV, so I thought--hell, nitro is good enough. I have yet to even play the fucker though.
