MINI GREEN RINGER

Post by More Cowbell »

I builded tonite...I bought a pcb from generalguitargadgets.com for $12 shipped and put it in this really small box, I originally wanted to put it in an altoids can but it wasn't deep enough for a stomper switch, so I found a box almost the same size at RADIO SHACK. This L.E.D. is blinding me.

looks awesome, what's it do?
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

Nicely done! Very clean work.

The Green Ringer is a Clean Octave Up/Ring Modulator. It's very fun to smash into Fuzz pedals.

seeing as that part's pretty small, i take it you could combine it into an existing fuzz design fairly easily (sez me who knows nothing about electronics)? like, have a switch for the fuzz then a second stage for that?

Absolutely.

I do this shit all the time in my pedals. Hurb's Hemy Roid Fuzz has a Super Hard On Stage of Fury built into the backend.

Right ho. I would recomment combining it with the Woolly Mammoth for intense filth and spatty options.

I thought about putting it in the same housing as my fuzz factory, but wasn't sure if I'd want it there, so I made it seperate, so in case I hate it, I can trade/sell it off later.

Thanks!
Once I get my Germanium trasistors for my fuzz factory, I'll make a demo or summit.
