this is awesome of you!
I'll see what I can do. I'm using Paint Shop Pro 7, which is a little shit, but I have my way with it. Give me a sec.
You are doing swell mate, I just wish I could do this shit myself :(.
I made it fatter using the most complex of methods, but I made it happen. The reason the letters look shit is because of the software I'm using, but if you like the general feel I can make you an actual PDF of the decal with more accurate dimensions using some proper software. The jpeg compression probably doesn't help, but PSP doesn't like dealing with rotated text.

The FAUX XII text is my favourite font in the world, here's an example of its usage:

you could maybe find 2 or 3 different things you like, and get malik to paste them up. for example-

i am also aware that i'm being a bit of an interfering cunt here too!
No, this is an absolutely good idea. If there are any fonts you want me to use, feel free to link me them from 1001fonts and I'll gladly install them and mock them up for you.

Better still, try www.1001fonts.com. Unlike that other one, they are all free.

that's easy enough to do on the graphics software, but the examples on the site will all be black. if you find one you like the general outline of you can do the fancy stuff afterwards.

Same, nothing much sticks out. The one in my mock-up is growing on me the more I look at it. It's not so much the style that appeals to me, it's just the way it fills up that void where the Fender badge is missing. If you find anything else that you think rules, give me a shout because it's no challenge changing it over.

To do a PDF I'm going to have to basically do the whole logo again in InDesign, because that is proper software. It won't take me long, but it'll be fiddly getting the gaps right, so bear with me.

OK, way quicker than I thought it'd take. The border on the "Sayer" text is way better now. See what it's like printed out, might make the difference. Sorry it's massive too.

PS, why Sayer?

It'd look better with the black/gold in a more standard Fender style of even black outline all the way around, but I couldn't be assed sorting that out.

What's the font? I can hook that up. I like that look, as original as I am, I didn't think of deviating from Fender style. :)

Here they are to compare:

I realised after James must've stretched the text, so I'll do another version in a bit.

PDF available if you want it, but yeah, that's with the stretched James version.

Now I'm using InDesign, I can basically do anything. So yeah, fire at will.
