My parts-caster strat is pretty much in it's final stages of evolution.
Image
I really like how it looks now. with the desert sand+black pg+maple neck+small headstock it's like a wierd 70's/50's hybrid. also, if you are wondering about alternative looks for the classic vibes duo, this would be a great one.

geeky details:

Body & misc hardware: originally from a Johnson strat
Neck: EDEN (fret dressed and clear coated by yours truly)
Decal: from a certain website
Tuners: Wilkinson vintage styles but 6 on a strip (and unfortunately not kluson style)
Nut: Tusq
Pickups: GFS 64 Staggers
Electronics: Switch/Pots/Cap from a 70's reissue strat
Pickguard: teh bay
Covers/Knobs: Fender Acessory Kit
Bridge: GFS import trem (rolled steel saddles, large steel block)
Strings: D'addario 11s
Finish: Duplicolor Desert Sand and clear coat (on the neck)
Soundz: Fucking Sweet.

Nice, nice and nice!
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

I like your collection a lot, including the stuff that never gets played!

here ya go, definently not all original.
when i got it, it was refinished in sonic blue, but had dings, dents with the sunburst showing, so i stiripped it.
its actually the same guitar in my avatar with the paint almost strpped to the primer.

it's good they didn't strip the burst before refinishing. i'd like a sunburst mustang, they're really nice.

Yeah they are nice, dont see a whole lot of them. I dont know what kind of paint the used,
but it was really easy to remove, it peeled off, kinda like skin when you get a really bad sunburn,
so i didnt have to use any chemicals to strip it.

Apologies in advance for the low quality pictures. I only had a few real pictures of my stash so I had to resort to camera phone shots for most of them.
