It doesn't even have an LED.

People are hilarious. A tonebender looks like this:

Yes kids, that's like 16 components.

to be honest, i had an original tonebender, labelled under the brand B&M, great big orange box. though this was when i was just starting to learn guitar and didn't know about values and rare stuff. even if i knew back then that they could be worth a bit, i'd never sell for more than i paid for it. $5000 is way way overpriced, how the fuck can he put that kinda figure on it. i sold mine for a fiver when i was 16, stupid mistake in hindsight, but hey i has an excellent tonebender now.

mike's clone sound exactly the same as my old tonebender, if not better. it never breaks, the batteries last ages, i can power it on the mains and it has an led. plus it's tiny on my board compared to trying to squeeze a tonebender in.

Do you have exciting news for us from St Ives. And did you go to the Barbara Hepworth Museum?

I'll be forever haunted by that soundbite, it seems very clear that I can't carry off this crash exterior with such a high-pitched voice.

I'm glad you're liking it, I think it's a great sounding circuit, and I just can't understand the values of the old huge ones, aside from the Mullard transistors, everything about them is flawed.

Huge, no LED, no true bypass, No DC jack input.

if your referring to what we discussed in that pm, then i chickened out for the moment. she didn't know i was planning it. it will happen very soon though. i don't think the answer will be the negative though.

i've fell in love with st ives, i would quite happily live there for the rest of my life.

i've just found this
Interesting. Low starting price but he has a reserve, I;m watching it for interest.

No gut shots is a shame. At least the Duo-Fuzz/Super-Fuzz circuit is complicated and has a high component count (although I could source the exact transistors and diodes used even today), so yours is identical in every way aside from the improvements to it's visibility and switchability.

It's probably the best pedal I've ever built if I'm honest. I was really happy with my layout of the circuit on the stripboard, and it worked absolutely first time. Plus it has a fantastic colour scheme & knobs (which you can take the credit for), and the dual footswitches with the two-colour LED - well it just adds up to being the pedal I'm most proud of full stop.

My mics turned up today. I'm running tonight and tomorrow is my Mum's birthday. I plan to demo it Wednesday night and post it to you on Thursday, hopefully you'll be rocking it Friday morning.

Nice move. You can't go wrong with a Telecaster of that quality and poise.
