Post by westtexasred »

I just play at home in my bedroom and have these pedals which I mostly use indivdually but I was wondering if I could string them together to a make a pedalboard. If I string them together,in what order should they go ?

Is that 4 dirt pedals and a compressor? I'd try the dirt pedals in different orders and see how you like cascading them. The XXL might sound good before the Rat but useless after.

When you have it roughly how you want it, lay the pedals out in the order you want, use the boss pedal twice to measue space for one extra (should you expand later on) and leave enough room for a power supply if you use one, then cut a piece of wood that size, cover with an offcut of carpet and stick velcro to the bottom of your pedals so they stick to the carpet.

Where you put the compressor depend on how much gain you like and what you se the compressor for. Because you have dirt options I'd put the one you use on the most mild settings first in the chain, then the compressor, then the rest of the dirt. That way will give you the most options..

If you use velcro it only takes a few minutes to rearrange pedals, so you don't need to plan too much before you make the board.

James is correct in all counts, I think.
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus
