Ouch, Don't think of it that way. Just think of it as " It plays differently than I imagined" D:
I can't see happening really. The neck looks too good to play badly. I suppose if I don't like it I could always send it to Aug to fix rob's mistakes....

but its hard telling what the ocean and shipping transit will do to the beast itself.
If parcel force fuck it up, I will be teaming up with benecol and some baseball bats to pay them a visit.

burn, burn burn, that hurt,
im going to have to do something to get you back, but im not sure what.
and! i put my blood into it yesterday. no joke, i was rasping the neck shape a bit after work and got my thumb pretty badly, so i bled all over the headstock, it wiped off easily enough and with sanding will be gone, but just an fyi, so far there is blood and sweat in this thing, no tears yet tho.

I'll most likely be painting the headstock so a bit of blood won't hurt. If you can get the blood of tribi or Aug on there that would be preferable.

i do have a lock of augs hair and a voodoo doll of tribi, i guess i could always route a channel, stick that stuff in there and make a lil plate to fill over it.

Thinking about it, if you had the oppurtunity to get the blood of Aug or Tribi on their it will end up looking like a Cherry Red SG. I hate Cherry Red SGs. Let's just stick to the plan.

I have to admit, I'm partially posting in this thread as an excuse to go back and look at the most recent pics. So good.

Ok, I'll post.
I like odd shaped guitars and I do dig the ergonomic look that James has for this, BUT I don't think chicken heads are a wise choice for the controls. There......I said it.

I'll probably go for fake ivory knobs like that, but in this shape....

I agree. It's probably the one part of the original I don't like.

Nah my posts on this will be quite long and boring. And there are a lot of pics to go through too.

I'm not set one the knobs and they're one of the parts I haven't got sorted yet. I like the ivory style, although I haven't found a place that sells those. Maybe I can get something better though.

james, way back, the first guitar i built in my home shop(so the 2nd altogether) i made some knobs out of bone, it was tricky as hell.
but it was rather cool.
im pretty sure i have enough antler left to make 2 knobs, and maybe a switch tip, i originally used it for nuts, and saddles but its kind of a weirdly shaped peice so im not sure i can really get what i want out of it.
i could also put a black dot in them like the ones pictured.
you want me to give it a go?
im not promising anything but i could give it a shot, the only real problem is. i bet the ones you posted cost less than what i would want for making them.(not by much i don't think tho)

It's all rob's work so far. I think all I'll be doing is painting, wiring and assembly.
