The worst thing about the mim Toronado was the neck finsish, scale, and pickups. Unless you change those things, who cares? It's just lipstick on a pig.

Fender should do a 25.5 Toronado with the mim series pickguard, wide range re-issues, custom color matching headstocks, and blocks & binding.

Did you just call Sarah Palin a pig?!?!?!

It looks much better with a more classic color like that - get rid of the top half of the PG, add some Jazzmaster PUPs; it would be a real winner. I've never understood why fender loves massave PGs so much.

dude, fender should just do blocks and binding.
enough pussy footing around.
just do blocks and binding on an offset fender!!!!!
the newer acoustics with the blocks and binding were pretty badass tho.
anyone notice that the jag bass only has blocks and no binding?
i thought that was kinda wierd.

Yeah I pointed that out when I first saw it, it's just silly.

I noticed it too, thats why I put blocks in my MIM jazz bass, so it would look the same.

my buddy has an orange one that is pretty alright in terms of mexican quility, the pups are decent enough, the electronics have never failed(its only like 5 years old tho)
the fretting, neck, and finish are all flawless, cept i like em more glossy and i think its a satin finish.
i hadn't realized you posted about that jcyphe.
mo asked me the other day if i had ever seen any guitars with just blocks and no binding and the two i could think of were a 72-73 gibson sg(kinda weird, only i have ever seen like it)
and the jag bass.
for some reason it looks ok, but it still bugs me a bit, seems like it needs to have binding if its going to have blocks.

i will give you a neck!
it was a no name that i tried to fenderize the headstock, i filled the tuner holes(they were all off, BAD)
and there are frets and no radius, so essentially it would be the perfect neck to try blocks on.

Or you like different things than I do. I think alot of the guitars you guys like fucking suck, to be honest.

some people like different things, thats called variety.
i hate gibson string spacing, some call it my dwarf like hands, some call it preference.
