but look at a strat, jazz bass
i think a jag and a jazz is at the 13th or so,
the tell is a rare beast.
have you ever noticed those aburdly ugly basses that people are playing these day?
with extended horns, and what not.
its cuz they are all aiming at the 12th fret for balance, but the design looks like shit with a huge horn like that.
i think that mustangs/duos were in the same ball park as a tele.
james, i will go ahead and do them, but since you are painting it silver you might as well keep your mind open to trying out new areas to put it.
becuz i can pretty much assure that you are not 5'5 and 180 pounds.
yes. im short, and stout.
just like i like my beerz

i finished up the routing and i let mo touch it.
i gotta run the router around it to get a general bevel, then work it with my hands.
after that, more neck sanding, body sanding.
headstock shaping, and tuner holes.
then i get to fret it!
then more sanding.
oh and set the bridge placement and string thru holes.
then i get to sand some more.
and then make 2 guards.
then ship it......
i feel like im forgetting somthing.
oh yeah! sanding!

I can't wait to get it. I'm not really sure what to expect in terms of how it plays. If you buy a Fender, new or old, you pretty much know what you're getting. Same with most common guitar companies. With something like this it's bound to feel a little different to those and I'm looking forward to seeing how it feels.

this thing is awesome.
top notch craftsmanship, built-in mojo, plus, not just one but TWO shortscalers have laid their filthy hands on this mofo.

finally got off my ass and uploaded pics to photobucket, and spent a good 2 hours sanding.
the belly contour needs alot more work, but the top rounding and arm countour are tits!
you now how you said you wanted it curvier than a normal fender?
you are going to love the top horn, its almost impossible to photogragh how much i sanded on it, but the slope is awsome!
and the scoop in the back needs some more work, i found that i could cut it in some more, so i did, but now i gets to work on the neck some more.... yay.....
gotta buy a new bit to finish the back of the ferrels too.

I already told you by PM, but this looks great. I love the headstock and the contour on the top horn looks especially good.robert(original) wrote:the belly contour needs alot more work, but the top rounding and arm countour are tits!
