Films and Film Content.

Example.

Eraserhead Fuzz.

Blue Velvet Chorus

And that's just the Lynch.

Since I'm one of the biggest Lynch marks out there, I'd buy 10 of every pedal haha.

i was thinking a cool way to name them would be to name them after whoever asks you for the first one. that way, if your biz takes off, nobody but shortscale will be able to crack the code.

or name them after playboy miss september's.

If i were you, I wouldn't have named them at all. I like the fact that the Saltboosters were all numbered, with a recipient name and date on the bottom. I also liked the fact that they were completely blank.

You could keep a log of what every pedal is, what it's number is, and who it was sold to, as well as other details, such as colour, knob type, and other personal things that the buyer might have wanted, such as positioning of power jack, or position of knobs.

This way, they look all mystical and cool, and also, when you're dead famous for your transparent bass boost/2Khz spike boost, and people try to flog fake ones on ebay, you can simply refer to the log, and know what the pedal was, and who it was sold to, and other details.

Plus it'd be kinda cool and personal.

ALSO: in twenty years time, people in the internet can sniff corks and say things like: "Livesley's best work booster-wise was definitely in pedals numbered between 200 and 350, also, try to get one that is an even number if you can, as these are rarer."

I like pedals named for function - like BOSS and the new Danos.

We would all like a Wrath of Kahn Phaser, though. Or a Gone in 60 Seconds Boost.

i like the david lynch idea a lot. mulholland overdrive is priceless... maybe you could incorporate graphics based on the movies or maybe that would be completely cheesy.

honestly anything is better than naming a pedal "t-rex mudhoney" and having it sound like nothing like either band.

Dope idea, movies, phrases, books, people...

Like, if I came up to you like "I need a fuzz/ overdrive - then naming it after me would be sick.
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

You only need one film-themed pedal to rock out with your cock out:

Debbie Does Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face clone.

I agree about the Mudhoney bit, but the T Rex part is the company name not the name of the pedal.

On HC MelX and Fender&EHXforever made up an imaginary pedal- reverse modulated delay, called the Black Lodge.
