I made a peddle: Dist+, Pushme-Pullyou, Green Ringer

Post by timhulio »

I've already posted this in classifieds, but no-one's seen it there. Just messing about really, to see if I could get three effects in a single mxr-sized enclosure. The best bits are combining the green ringer with the dist+.

Ta Mike! I'm gonna have a go at the green muff next. I've done the stripboard layout and I think it'll fit in a little box with room for a battery... so fingers crossed!

Nice one.

I actually tried the administrator thing on the DIY Layout again and it worked. So watch this space, I have layouts for a bunch of stuff I'll throw up for you guys, including the Green Big Muff.

BTW - change all the coupling caps from 1uF to 0.1uF/100nF's otherwise it's too bassy.

Fuck some batteries, I only make space for them if people really need them for Fuzzes/+ve ground pedals.

You should try a FuzzFace next, with some Germanium AC128s.

Cool I'll do that. I'm actually making it for a mate, who wants it to sound exactly like his green muff, so maybe he wants it too bassy. I'm doing one for myself to so I'll swap the caps in that fo sho.

Fair enough, just go exact copy in that case, but my preference is to tame the bass a little (it has PLENTY). Best sounding muff in a long way. I made this one and Arsecake rocks it at the moment:

This would make me insanely happy; I was about to start dropping hints along the lines of: "Miiiiiike, that nice Green Muff you made..."

I'll get on it as soon as I have a chance to sit down in front of my computer at home without a headful of Lemsip.

No hurry - I haven't got any further with my musikding gear than peering, confusedly, into the box.

Making pedals is well good fun. I actually find soldering quite calming now. It'll be even nicer now my helping hands has arrived.

True that. I love it, before I started running it was a massive factor in pulling me out of the Funk I was in.

The helping hands are great too, I can't work without them.

The MXR D+ was based on the Blue Clipper, it's kind of funny you put it in a box with Green Ringer.
