I'd save up for the mustang bridge. Tune-o-matics don't measure up right and lift your high + low E strings up further from the fretboard than the others. Fender's "Adjust-o-Matic" that they've been putting on the new Mexican Jags might work, but they'll probably run the same as a Mustang bridge.hendrix1234 wrote:its for a mustang project, and im kind of on a low budget.
i live in australia so itd cost me about 50 bucks to get a mustang one over here.
a tunomatic one i can get anywhere alot cheaper.

it had to be done, i cant wait to get all the parts, hopefully next week.
ive got the body coming, tailpiece/bridge,pickguard and control plate, ive got all the other parts.
quick question, what colour would you guys suggest? ive ordered a black pickguard and its goin to have fender noiseless pup with black covers?

Dope. More so with a maple neck, tho.sonicboom wrote:Hmmm, I'm not sure about the full-on stealth look on a 'Stang.

yeh i was thinking black, but i have had so many guitars that were black/black, i should have got a white guard as well.
im not into the white either, but there isnt a lot of colours i can think of that would go well with a black guard? candy apple red would go but my jaguar is already that colour
looks like photoshop, testing out colours with a black guard is on the cards.
although that picture u posted of the black stang stewart does look very nice.
cheers,
Matt
