STOKED! (w/PICS!)

Post by serfx »

so i just bro deal'd a duo sonic from bassintom

and i've never owned a duo before, sure i have 3 mustangs, but no duo, the only duo i've played is the new squire one, and the conversion neck kind of put me off

my 74 `stang has a duo neck (22.7"? scale) (its in the projects .. and is now one wiring problem away from being done)

either way i just had to share my elation

and the first thing i'm doing with it is putting in some black robroes over those lace pups
the second thing will be having a 3-way with it and my amp.

Ah cool. I used to have a red one of those, they're great for projects just move the bridge for your desired scale legnth (I had a strat neck on mine, one with the extra fret overhang) plus they have the big swimming pool route so you can load itanyway you want super-easy! Great score. :D

One of my mates nabbed mine off me (he was without a guitar so that was cool) He sent me a pic of it the other night actually, I think he was at Rod Stewart's house:

The stripes are the original finish and the headstock says "Fucked" in fender script, I know I'm easily amused. I made a right arse of the pickguard too.

so i had a pretty weird day at work..
left early to see a doc
anyways
i was chillin' on the couch playing nhl 09
and decided that aside from the pro feature i wanted to start a season
so
just as i was making Rob Roe
the manager of the sabers i get this knock on my door
its canada post (apparently they deliver at 7:30 at night??)
anyways the duo sonic show up!
i snapped some shots, stripped it naked to look at the setup
i was gonna put some black robroe covers on the pups but alas the rail pups really don't like the mustang covers.
so put it back together bolted on the neck and tossed on a set of .11's

jamming on wednesday should slay.

pictures are opting to not upload atm.

You can dremmel and heat those Robroes to fit that, someone here has done that at least once, but I can't remember who.
