it's a '72 LPB compstang, looks to be in particularly good condition but the photos i've seen are pretty crappy. i would just need someone to give it a play and have a look at the guts etc. if it got a thumbs up i'd then negotiate the price with the guy and get him to post it up to me.
yes mike, i do have a few, but i'm selling the bullet soon, and if i really really had to i'd reluctantly sell the ash mustang...
i've just always wanted a blue compstang but they're getting more and more scarce thanks to cobain-hunters.

haha, i don't have it yet, and might not get it... it hangs in the balance!Mike wrote:You bastard
i don't have the address yet, my phone's donald ducked so i can't call the guy til i get home from work tonight.James wrote:Looking at the map, the train station seems to be a little out of the town. I take it you have the address? Is it on the train side of the town?
i can pass on any info to you as soon as i know for definite if you like? i'll suss the dude out this evening and if it looks like a possibility then i'll let you know the whereabouts and you can have a think about whether or not it's an option.
if it did work out i'd be eternally grateful though, i'd send you a big tin of cadbury's roses or something!
Sorry, I'm a little late to the thread: James seems to have this pretty much covered, but yes, Pershore isn't far at all. Consider me very much on standby. In the plus column, I have a car and my good looks, in the negative column, I have very few free evenings this week, and no frame of reference when it comes to mustangs.
I remain, however, your humble servant.

I'll give each of you a fiver (clearly a better offer than some shit chocolates) to give me the skinny on everything and take Stewart out of the loop.

camera phone pics...
yeah that's it. i'd asked the guy if it was the original finish, and as he'd mentioned buy it nows and offers on the listing i said i would have made an offer if there was a BIN, but as there wasn't i'd just let the auction run. i'm not really one for hassling ebayers, but i dropped a hint in response to his (rather bizarre) info on the listing.
he then emailed me back and said he was open to offers, and because of the amount of interest he was getting he'd probably pull the auction early... so i had no choice but to reply with a ballpark figure, depending on condition. it was either that or miss out on it when he cancelled the auction for some other fucker.
so anyway, he left a voicemail on my phone today, and said to call him back tonight.
but now my cover's blown i suppose there's nothing to stop someone else spangling me!

See, I could do this, but not until Thursday at the earliest, which I believe pisses on Stewart's chips somewhat. Also, I'm off to Coleford to look at a Marauder prototype Dr. Spangle's found listed with a BIN of £299.James wrote:If you were to drive you'd have to go pretty much past me, I think. You could stop by, have a cup of tea and a bash on my Mustang, then I'll go with you to Pershore.
Aye, sorry Stewart and James - finishes in almost exactly two days time (he's bid up to £460 now, so is a tosser if he stops the auction early, in my opinion...) and I've got commitments for the next two nights (parenting and teaching, respectively) that I can't wriggle out of. Looks like the train might have to take the strain. Soz.
When I was talking of training it, I was assuming it was a shop that you'd found online with one, so there was less of a time constraint. I've no idea if I'm working tomorrow (see nonsense management post in the diary thread) and it's my birthday wednesday so I can't do it in the next couple of days either.
Shabba.

ah, no worries, thanks anyway laddies, i appreciate it.
i'll phone him tonight and explain i couldn't possibly offer top dollar given the quality of the photos he's provided, but i'll be willing to put a reasonable bid in if he leaves the auction running... unless of course he can send me some good quality, clear, detailed photos, then i'd consider buying it sight unseen at a higher price.
