It's a personal thing obviously, in all the years I would say no pedal has really managed to replicate the DMM..... he was saying it's illegal to sell the german release in the US because it's not released here yet.
I think people are psyched about this because the DMM is considered by many as just about the best delay pedal there is and it's never been attainable for a very affordable price. It's hard to think of a comparable situation with any other pedal.
