Bizarre.
Belongs on the wall of a bar. It'll never be played again, like.

It should be hanging on the wall of a beach hut. It looks like driftwood, cool driftwood though.

At least they refretted for bass. Whoever tried to make my U1 into a bass just moved the bridge back. I can't imagine how bad it must have sounded.

If they ever put a train track under the Atlantic, maybe our shipping woes will finally end?

Obviously it's fucked, but something about it looks brilliant.

im thinking about just for the tuners, the neck plate, the body and neck will be nice to make tracings/ jigs out of, andit would be nice to be able to see under the hood and molest it without feeling bad/
i always wondered why they seem to fall apart, i was never sure if it was a lack of purfing or bad glue, this would be a great trial and error peice.
and plus it'll prove that these old things were made with solid wood, no laminated shit here my friend.
i think that honestly the sides and back are salvagable, a new top, and a set neck in its place and it may be a really nice guitar.
plus the neck would be kool to hang on the wall.
and plus i could make exact temps from it.

If you get it, can I get dibs on that DeArmond PUP? I've been looking for something like that to make a '40s acoustic-electric project.

absolutely, im not going to bid over 25 bucks tho, cuz it really is just a wall decoration.
and with shipping that is pushing the limits of what its worth.

Good luck on the auction. It'd be good to hear what it's like up close.
