Interfax Harmonic Percolator stripboard layout

Based on the most recent, general consensus schematic (apparently the pedal 'evolved' during it's initial production). It's a nice easy build, and you'll only have trouble sourcing the transistors. It sounds really good, and it actually does lift the harmonics out of the general fuzz/crunch. Sounds pretty accurate to my ears, but then I've never had a real one. Can't get teh Albiniz as I've stashed my Electrical Guitar at my Mum's house and I'm playing it into a Fender Deluxe Reverb.

There's a volume drop-off at low gain for obvious reasons, so I think the next one of these I build will have an LPB or something simple tacked in front of it.

Nice one. I'll probably just sub an AC128 for the 404A. I have a bunch of them for Fuzzfaces.

Ah me too- I inherited a ton when my Dad donated his ancient components boxes to me. Will swap and report difference tonight! Ackshully, don't the resistor values need to be adjusted for different transistors?

The 2n404a and the AC128 are completely substitutable. They're both Germanium pnp transistors.

You missed the power rails from your diagram.

Is the a postal depot you can call? Have you checked noone in the house got a card from the depot or nuthin?

Doesn't most Albineeezes sound come from his amp setup anyways? The HP seems to just be more of a fuzzy OD to my lugholes.

What does he use?

I have Fender Bassman in my mind or CAE amps for some reason.

He uses a Tranny PA system I'm sure so he can do more drastic EQing.

Wonder what the VU meter on the front of the amp does, aside from looking cool.

Alot of his sound is also down to the guitar - TB500 (or recently the Electrical 500 custom thing that hasn't really got a name when people ask me). The pickups are yay hot, and the attack very percussive and clangy. Can't get teh sond on a Mustang or anything I've got lying around.

Yep, Nothing! I'll check the post office sometime this week as I ship the dotsmaster.

I hope you didn't ship it with a battery inside? They might've thought it was a dangerous device or something...
Remember when a kids DIY pedal got blown up on the train cos it had a metronome? It was ticking, had a battery and wires sticking out of it though.

I sent it standard Royal Mail overseas (which I've NEVER had a problem with before after sending approx 20 pedals abroad). Bizarre.

Like I said, one more week and then I'll build him a replacement.
