Don't like the neck through, if it didn't have that it would be Lovely.

How long do we give this one?

I don't understand.

It's like a Rickenbacker has been fucked by the 1970s.

That's great looking but I'm not sure why it has a neck heel still. If the back of the neck went smoothly up to the body it would be better. I'd still love to have one though.

You're right. That neck heel doesn't fit there. Otherwise it is kinda cute.

Actually I think if you were to be playing high up on the fretboard, the heel would give a comfortable place for your thumb to sit. It looks a little odd but I'm betting it makes it more comfortable to play.

UPS brought the Atlantis.I think it's....pretty AWESOME!The pictures don't do it justice as the finish is a dark mettalic turquise and the maple neck has an ambered gloss finish, like an old tele.

Thanks for the posts! It's an ABM bridge which is really nice, sort of an Art Deco looking topload adjustable roller bridge. These where made in Germany, sculpted of solid brass. The chrome plated was done in Germany also.

Rickenbacker now puts Schaller Bridges on 650s because the ABM are no longer available(the guy who owned ABM died). The Schaller bridges are made in Germany of hand cast zinc but the chrome and gold plating is done in the Czech Republic where the environmental laws aren't as strict. The Schaller bridges are similar to the ABM but are not quite as sleek a design.John Hall once said The Schaller bridges "look like something that came out of a U-boat".

Actually, Somebody took over the company name and is going to make the ABM parts again.
